Plans and Timetables

I have created a variety of lists and timetables in order that I complete the akeup in time for the project hand in, at the beginning of the project I created two lists, one for the website information that I needed to include and another for the practical elements of the project. These are shown below, it helped me to see what I needed to complete in a visual way. After I had completed most of the website information I had a tutorial with Pete in order to know the timings and planning for the practical elements of the makeup.

This is the timetable that I created for the few weeks after returning from the Easter Holidays, I will have to stick to this plan extremely closely in order to achieve eveything before the handin and the summative assessments. I will have to organise the filming, location and makeup before the summative, which will allow me a few days afterwards to finish the film and the website information.

This initial plan did not work as planned, the timings were too short. I was unable to complete the tasks laid out in time, therefore everything had to be shifted backwards in dates. The initial process that took much longer than expected was the sculpting stage. It took me much longer than the three day planned which therefore pushed the other processes back as they could not be completed until this had been finished. Generally every stage in the process took much longer than planned therefore the whole process was cut quite close in terms of timings for the assessment. The moulding process was also very time consuming, I wanted to make sure that the moulds worked perfectly to create successful pieces therefore I spent much longer to ensure that they were completed to a high standard.
