THE PROSTHETICS EVENT

At The Prosthetics Event I came across some incredible works of art, including busts of creature designs. Some of these I have displaed below due to their relevance to my current project. I have found them very inspirational in terms of creating my original design. Focusing on certain elements of the characters and the details in all aspects of the design. I have used these pieces of work to inspire me in the creation of my design, as these artists have a lot of skill their work is something to aspire to achieve in quality.

Prosthetics Event I like this design for the amount of texture and detail that is shown in the bust. The brow has a great amount of texture through wrinkles.The colouration is also particularly interesting as it adds a sense of depth and realism. I think that the small nose would work well as a design in the cration of my creature.	Prosthetics Event Similarly to the previous design I think the brow works really well as inspiration for the fantasy creature design. The veining is also an interesting element to the creature. It adds some quality that would have left that area of the face relatively bland. I think the colouration is also an engaging part of the character focusing the red colour in the centre working outwards.	Prosthetic Event The horn structure and attachment in this design shows how I might attach the horn to my character. The amount of wrinkling around the base of the horn works well to show the protrusion from the skin. I also think the detailing on the horn itself has an engaging effect that would work well in my design.
Prosthetic Event This creature created by Darren Nevin has an original design that stands out from many other designs that I have seen. I really like how the whole face is structured. The level of detail is inspiring for the creation of a design.
